Steven KrasnerLeslie Sawhill enlivens the history and personal stories of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in her performance of "Play Ball!" For students in grades 5-12, this lively, fun and poignant 1-hour presentation captures the intimate moments as well as the big picture story of the legendary AAGPBL, which was made famous by the movie "A League of Their Own." Curriculum connections to World War II, women’s history and language arts inspire research, playwriting and leadership skills in young adults.

Ron BolinTake a journey back in time to the heyday of baseball with actor and educator Ron Bolin to experience the colorful career of the "Sultan of Swat," Babe Ruth. From his Baltimore childhood to his 60th homerun to his "Farewell to Baseball" speech and final appearance at Yankee Stadium in 1948, this comprehensive and touching account of the Babe’s life encourages audience participation with the use of realistic artifacts and lively role-play. ...Put us on your iPod or mp3 player! The Education Department’s podcasts offer on-demand audio content for teachers, students, and fans of the game. Subscribe to the Hall of Fame’s feed and automatically receive podcasts from players, legends, and others connected to the game of baseball. Our podcasts feature content relating the national pastime to standards-based educational modules we offer via on-site visits or videoconferencing.

The Education Department has jumped on the podcasting bandwagon and recorded our very first podcast with San Francisco Giants / ESPN broadcaster Jon Miller. Baseball Math in Your Class!
A free resource for teachers and students alike using daily boxscores to reinforce math concepts like batting average and slugging percentage. "Baseball Math" is updated (mostly) every weekday throughout the baseball season.
